I managed to get most of the posts done last week so yay for me! It's not always possible to get to all of them all the time but it was lots of fun and I also found some great new bloggers so so far, I'm liking this challenge.
1. Favourite brands:
It seems like brands that I love the most now are almost always the ones that I first started using. I like to think its more 'If it aint broke then don't fix it' than 'You can't teach an old dog new tricks' but oh well. These brands have stood the test of time so I think I'm ok here.
My first proper makeup brand I ever bought was MAC and I'm still a fan of their ranges. It's such a treat walking into a store after many years and saying "I'd like the studio fix and concealer in NC42, please" and know that its still your perfect match!
Then there's Chanel, Chanel no5, still one of my favourite scents.
And, finally my favourite leather clutch from Jenni Button.
2. Red:
I love a full red lip, its always been one of my favourite colours. This one's 'Rouge' by Dior- great vintage red, lasts long, and its so moisturising on your lips.
Whenever I wear a red lip I always keep the rest of my makeup natural with some soft highlights on the eyes and a strong brow. I think lips like these deserve the spotlight, don't you?
3. Favourite Product:
When its comes to keeping my skin soft and moisturised its got to be coconut oil or tissue oil. The plus with a tissue oil is that it also helps with scaring and stretch marks. I got this one from Africology in my Rubybox this month and its done wonders on the dry patches on my face.
4. Black
I chose to go black with an outfit. The heart shaped top is from Mr Price and the skirt is Factorie.
Had one of those mornings when I couldn't decide what to wear (you know what I'm talking about) hence the state of my room. I liked pairing the two pieces together, it came together well like a fun and understated LBD.
More updates on the challenge again soon. Till then...
